What maintenance covers
- WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, tested before they go live
- Daily or weekly backups kept off the server
- Security monitoring and malware clean-up if something gets in
- Uptime checks, so we know when the site is down before your customers do
- Domain and SSL renewal reminders
- Small content changes: prices, timings, photos, staff, notices
Why it matters
The most common emergency we see is not a hack. It's an expired domain or SSL certificate, discovered when a customer says the site shows a security warning. The second is a plugin update that broke the contact form, so enquiries stopped for weeks and nobody noticed. Maintenance is the dull work that stops both.
How it's priced
We start with a free check of your site: platform, plugins, hosting, backups, speed and security. Then we quote a monthly or yearly figure based on what the site actually needs. A five-page HTML site needs very little; a store with forty plugins needs a lot.
Sites built by someone else
Most maintenance clients didn't build their site with us. That's fine. We need the hosting and admin logins, and we'll tell you honestly if the site is cheaper to rebuild than to keep patching.
